PT. Kayu Lapis Indonesia is a company engaged in wood processing using environmentally friendly technology and consistent forest protection and a committed approach to corporate social responsibility. Business activities that are focused on by PT. Kayu Lapis Indonesia covers forest exploitation, plywood industry, and furniture industry. As a company engaged in the timber sector, of course, PT. Kayu Lapis Indonesia uses raw materials that are officially certified both nationally and internationally. Certificates owned by PT. Kayu Lapis Indonesia as evidence that the raw materials used can be traced for their legality and can be legally accounted for.

FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) is an independent, non-governmental organization established to support the management of the world’s forests that are environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically viable. FSC® CoC certification is FSC® certification for forest product processing chain after forest products (timber and non-timber) are transported out of the forest. FSC® chain of custody certification verifies that FSC® certified materials have been identified and separated from non-conforming and unacceptable materials as they pass through the supply chain from forest to market. PT Kayu Lapis Indonesia has held an FSC® certificate since 2007. The advantage of having an FSC® certificate is to build market confidence in our products in the eyes of other countries, so that for producing countries that are not ready to face competition, including sustainable forest development and a friendly industrial environment, small the possibility that the product will have a place in the world market.

Previously, the issuance of the FSC® certificate was carried out by the certification body, namely BM Trada. On June 13, 2022, the transfer of the FSC® certificate from BM Trada to Soil Association Ltd has been implemented and is effective. Currently the FSC® Chain of Custody certification is managed by Soil Association Ltd. The certificate number which was originally TT-COC-C002536 was replaced with SA-COC-013224 with license number FSC®-C007486.
